Survivors (生還, Seikan) is the 75th chapter of the Vagabond manga series.

Summary[]

As Agon washes Musashi's clothes, he grumbles to himself "why do I have to wash Musashi's dirty rags!?" while Jotaro spies on him. Jotaro then comes out of the forest and Agon asks him what he's doing here, which prompts Jotaro to run back into the forest.

As Agon complain about cleaning Musashi's rags, Musashi wakes up covered in bandages from the aftermath of his duel with Inshun. As Musashi gets up, he sees Inshun sleeping beside him, covered with a bandage on his forhead and cranium. Musashi recalls when after the duel, he heard Inshun telepathically tell him "In a matter of years you will become an extraordinary fighter. I'm looking forward to seeing you then. I want to live." Musashi then reassures Inshun that he will be an extraordinary fighter and says he's glad Inshun is alive.

Musashi then goes to Inei's room to see him laying in bed. Afraid that Inei has passed away in his sleep, Musashi begins to thank him for training him and that he is stronger because of him. However, Inei wakes up from sensing Musashi's blood-thirst and claims that there's a beast in his room. Musashi tells Inei that he is not a beast but Inei states that the moment Musashi struck Inshun, he reverted back to the beast; graceless and bloodthirsty. However, Inei believes that before the first blow, Musashi did very well in the duel.

Agon then offers Musashi a katana, wakizashi and a pair of clothes which Inei gifted him as he continues his journey. The last panel shows Inshun awake, looking at the sky.
